MANUSCRIPT EVALUATION
- Get a complete read of fiction manuscripts with a full written critique.
- Areas addressed:
- character development
- sense of place - realism in the environmental backdrop
- logical progression of story line
- writing style
- use of point of view and voice
- E-mail submissions preferred. Or submit CD.
$35.00 per 25,000 words.
EDITING
- A well-edited manuscript has a better chance of acceptance in today's tight marketplace. Fiction and nonfiction manuscript will be edited line-by-line.
- grammar and sentence structure the foremost considerations;
- suggestions for enhanced sense of place and time, and improved dialogue;
- includes minimal fact checking (extra cost for technical and historical material).

Fifty percent (50%) payment is required for jobs of $50.00 or more.
PROOFING
- Pre-publishing vetting of a manuscript is best done by a third party. Critical attention will be given to:
- style consistency
- character names and place names
- proper and consistent formatting (dashes, quotations marks, paragraph spacing, chapter headings, etc.)

BOOK DESIGN AND LAYOUT
For indy authors, get a professional book layout and design that meets all printing industry standards and will result in a product of top-notch quality for print books and eBooks. Front-matter, and cover layout with barcode when requested.- Print Layout Prices*: start at $200.00 for 100,000 word text-only manuscript.
- Print cover layout: providing a full cover (front, spine, back with back cover text provided, with cover photo provided) to printer specs - $50.00. Extra cost for any image alteration is $17.00/hr.
- eBook conversion Prices* for 90,000 words (~250 pg): $20.00 from a .doc manuscript, $80.00 from OCR rendering, $50.00 from a .pdf.
- eBook distribution: $10.00 each for each major eBook distributors (Kindle, Nook, Smashwords). Each format has slightly different requirements. The files will include proofing the converted "book" and correction of coding to create a print-book look.
